WHAT IS ZINC COATING TECHNOLOGY?
It is a one-component zinc-rich coating that acts as a “film galvanising system”. It contains 96% zinc and is free of toxic components. As a system it can be applied like paint and on-site, providing equivalent performance to hot-dip galvanising. This makes it perfect for the regeneration and refurbishment of steel structures, like bridges, walkways and girders.
APPLICATIONS
Zinc coating technology is perfect for new or corroding steel surfaces in need of an on-site, alternative system to hot-dip galvanising. Offering both active and passive protection, zinc coatings are ideal for environments subjected to mechanical abrasion and harsh weather conditions. It can also be combined with a polyurethane top coat to further extend its lifetime. Zinc coatings can also be applied in applications as damp as 90% relative humidity and extreme temperatures from -15 to over 40 oC.
